Greg Manning BA BSc MSc RNA

Director and Nurse Consultant

I am a Nurse Consultant and National Award winner for Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) care, with specialist training in Gastroenterology and a Master’s degree in Advanced Clinical Practice. My main clinical interests are inflammatory bowel disease and irritable bowel syndrome.

I am accredited by the Royal College of Physicians to perform and interpret capsule endoscopy (camera pill tests) and am also a qualified bowel irrigation practitioner. Alongside my specialist role, I have extensive experience working across Cardiology, Respiratory Medicine, Diabetes, General Practice, Acute Medicine, and Out-of-Hours Emergency Care, including the Air Ambulance service.

Dr Peter Neville

Consultant Gastroenterologist

with an Interest in Hepatology (Liver Disease)

I am a practicing consultant gastroenterologist with 24 years of experience in the role. I graduated at the University of Leeds in 1989, and did my postgraduate training in the Yorkshire.
I am skilled in all standard modalities of endoscopy, diagnostics, and very experienced in the management of all gastrointestinal complaints, including heartburn, IBS, inflammatory bowel disease, liver and pancreatic disease, and biliary problems.
I have published extensively on a variety of subjects including gastro-oesophageal reflux disease, Barrett's oesophagus and training processes in endoscopy.

Dr Renate Homewood

Consultant in Respiratory and General Medicine

I am a highly experienced Consultant Respiratory Physician with specialist expertise in the assessment and management of complex respiratory conditions, including sleep apnoea, asthma, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). I qualified from the University of Cardiff and completed my postgraduate training there, developing a strong foundation in both acute and chronic respiratory medicine.

Dr Atchamamba Yenumula

Consultant Haematologist

I have more than 10 years of experience in treating both cancerous and non-cancerous blood disorders. My expertise includes haematological cancers, as well as conditions such as ITP, haemolytic anaemia, and aplastic anaemia. I also specialise in the management of bleeding and clotting disorders, including haemophilia, von Willebrand disease, and complications related to blood-thinning medications.

Dr Atif Khalil

Consultant Nephrologist

I am a highly experienced Consultant Nephrologist with specialist expertise in high blood pressure (hypertension), chronic kidney disease, and its associated conditions. My interests also include preventive nephrology, the conservative (non-dialysis) management of end-stage renal disease, and haemodialysis.

Dr Altaf Palejwala

Consultant Gastroenterologist

I am a Consultant Gastroenterologist with over 25 years of clinical experience, providing comprehensive care for a wide range of gastrointestinal disorders. I have a special interest in inflammatory bowel disease and am highly skilled in diagnostic and therapeutic upper and lower endoscopy. My experience includes the management of conditions such as gastro-oesophageal reflux disease, Barrett’s oesophagus, and irritable bowel syndrome.

Dr Anas Nanaa

Consultant Paediatrician

I am a Consultant Paediatrician providing care for children from birth to 16 years, managing a wide range of acute and chronic paediatric conditions. I completed my paediatric training in 2023, with a special interest in paediatric cardiology, including completion of the SPIN in Paediatric Cardiology during my run-through training in Merseyside.

I have extensive experience in general paediatrics and neonatology, having worked across multiple hospitals in the North West region over the past 10 years. I have also worked in paediatric cardiology at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital for a total of three years. I am passionate about delivering safe, effective, compassionate, and high-quality care to children and their families.

Vicki Watterson BSc MSc RN

Hepatology Clinical Nurse Specialist and Psychotherapist

I am a Registered Nurse with a Master’s degree in Psychology, allowing me to support people with a broad range of mental health needs alongside their physical health. I use a variety of therapeutic approaches to support both mental and physical wellbeing and also specialise in liver screening and FibroScan testing.

Ruby Godfrey-Warner

Dietitian

I am an HCPC-registered Dietitian with extensive experience in supporting people with gastrointestinal conditions, including coeliac disease, inflammatory bowel disease, irritable bowel syndrome, and pancreatic conditions. I have more than 10 years of experience using the low FODMAP diet and take a holistic, patient-centred approach to care.

I also provide nutritional assessment and dietetic support for conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, respiratory conditions, malnutrition, and weight management.
