The ladies also get a hormone panel which can indicate menopause. Men offered prostate examinations or prostate blood tests. We also provide the unique liver scanning technology (Fibroscan) that can pick up disease before blood tests become abnormal. It can pick up fatty liver which has the same prognosis as liver failure from alcohol but often goes unrecognised. As another addition we can offer a specialist camera pill your staff can swallow to check all the way through their intestine. This will pick up cancerous polyps before they can be found on a colonoscopy. This is state of the art technology that is not available in Manx Care.
